Accell Group acquires Batavus distributor in Germany

Heerenveen (the Netherlands), 6 January 2010 - Accell Group N.V. announces that agreement has been reached on the acquisition of all shares in Bäumker & Co. GmbH (“Bäumker”). Bäumker is a trading company in bicycles, bicycle parts and accessories and based in Rheine, Germany and is among others distributor for Batavus. Bäumker operates in its home market via a close regional network of dealers, generally in northern and middle Germany. Accell Group will finance the acquisition from its own resources and the company will be consolidated effective as of January 2010. The current management of Bäumker will remain in place after the acquisition.
